Metallised stocks give a label built-in reflection before any foil or varnish is added. They are useful for wine, spirits, honey and limited-edition labels where the brief needs shine but not necessarily a separate foil pass.
Metallised stock is useful when the whole label needs a reflective base, while foil is better when only selected details need to catch the light.

Watch-outs
Colour behaves differently on metallic stock. Some colours become richer and darker, while fine type may need extra contrast or a white ink layer depending on the design.
